Role
Lead Designer
As part of the White House's Freedom 250 celebration, Hillsdale College developed the educational content featured in a national fleet of Freedom Trucks—traveling exhibits designed to engage communities with America's founding principles and history. To extend the impact of the exhibit beyond each event and increase awareness of Hillsdale College's educational mission, I created a comprehensive suite of branded educational and promotional materials.
The challenge was to design resources that would educate, inspire, and remain useful long after visitors left the exhibit. Every piece needed to support the Freedom 250 experience while reinforcing Hillsdale College as a trusted source for classical education.
I developed a cohesive visual system that unified a wide range of print materials, including event posters for schools and community organizations, curriculum guides tailored for elementary, middle, and high school students, and a printable Wall of Heroes poster that brought one of the exhibit's signature installations into classrooms and homes.
The centerpiece of the campaign was an interactive, punch-out paper model of the Freedom Truck. Designed as both an educational activity and a memorable keepsake, the foldable model encouraged continued engagement with the exhibit while extending Hillsdale College's brand into classrooms, homes, and communities nationwide.
By combining educational content with thoughtful, hands-on design, the campaign transformed a traveling exhibit into a lasting learning experience—expanding the reach of the Freedom 250 initiative while strengthening Hillsdale College's reputation as a national leader in civic education.
